In the name of true love and good music
My roommate and his cousin have entered a contest to be the opening act for Imogen Heap at the concert in their city! All contestants must cover her song "Earth" and submit a video of themselves performing it on youtube. The winners get to perform the song live with Imogen at the show in addition to a 15 minute set of their own songs! Cool right?
The primary goal for entering this contest is to make Imogen realize that Drew is the love of her life. It doesn't hurt that they are both such amazing musicians and they totally deserve to win! Anyway here is their video:
If you want to vote, Drew has written some very lovely instructions:
1) In order to vote, you need a YOUTUBE account. If you don't have one,

100th Post!!!
FINALLY! So, I never thought I would have this much trouble thinking about something special enough for my "100TH POST!!!' but I think this is good enough: my life is getting ready to change in a BIG way.
Hint #1: I'm about to partake in REALLY good Italian food and deal with CRAZY drivers.
Hint #2: I will learn how to hide "r"s in words where they don't belong... for example " I'll take the ca to the lawroffice".
Hint #3:
Do you give up?

I'M MOVING TO BOSTON!
I'm going to be going to graduate school there, and it's going to be wicked awesome! ( To use the vernacular.)
Okay, so I have to go to work...more later!!!

We live in the future!
Okay, so I've been the most horrible blogger ever! I'm working on the 100th post, it's going to be BIG! But for now, here is number 99:
I don't know if I've changed my focus, or if it's just the fact that I live with 5 guys who love their gadgets, but lately I've noticed some pretty nifty things that make me excited to be living in 2010 AKA THE FUTURE! For whatever reason, until recently if someone asked me about the progress my generation is making for humanity, I would have said we are the masters of editing the past. We don't really have anything to call our own, and I am thoroughly disappointed in our lack of innovation when it comes to transportation. Seriously, watch an episode of SeaQuest and you'll see what I mean. Our counter culture is nothing more than a mash-up of the counter cultures of the previous century!
But lately, I've been very impressed with a lot of things that make me feel like we live in the future! Now, these things did not necessarily make their debut this year, but they are part of my everyday experience that I think are pretty nifty. Without further delay, I present, in no particular order....

Apologies
I'm quickly approaching my 100th post and I want it to be special. That is my explanation of my extended absence. Also, I had a nice 3 week break from the internet over the holidays. I'm sorry for not saying goodbye, and I hope the promise of awesome posts in the near future are enough to make it up.
